Our technologies
A multidisciplinary clinic with state-of-the-art technology

At Clinique dentaire Saint-Étienne, we offer a variety of services for the whole family. To keep up the same excellence and improve our patients’ experience, we have equipped the clinic with several dental technologies. These innovations make many procedures easier. They also make care safer and more comfortable, as well as faster and more precise, without compromising its effectiveness or the quality of the results!
CEREC
This technology makes it possible to design, produce and place a crown or an inlay (an alternative to fillings for more damaged teeth) in a single appointment. CEREC combines powerful design software with a robotic milling unit that carves the restoration in a few minutes. Unlike traditional crowns, there is no need for a temporary piece to protect the tooth while the permanent one is being made. And because the restoration is modelled from optical scans and X-rays, there are no unpleasant impressions to take.

3D imaging — cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)
With this advanced technology, we can now obtain 3D images of the mouth and its structures, thanks to the cone-shaped beam of the CBCT. The images are very detailed and allow a precise assessment of many things: the angle and position of impacted wisdom teeth, the location of the nerve inside the lower jaw, bone density, the shape and condition of the sinuses and airways, the condition of the temporomandibular joints, etc. 3D X-rays also clearly reveal certain anomalies and conditions (infections, tumours, cysts). We use it for diagnosis, but also to plan certain procedures: implant placement, extractions, bone grafts, etc.

Quick Sleeper
This technology makes local anesthesia more reliable. The Quick Sleeper is a pen-like electronic injection device operated with a wireless pedal that helps control the amount of anesthetic. With it, the injection is painless and takes full effect after two minutes, so dentists can begin treatment sooner. The Quick Sleeper also allows deeper anesthesia, right next to a root and its apex (its tip). We use it for long, complex procedures and with children and anxious patients who are less receptive to injections.

Digital X-rays
This technology is a major benefit for both our patients and us. Radiation is reduced by 70 to 80% compared with traditional X-rays. The image is of better quality and appears immediately on the computer screen. We can enlarge it or change the contrast for a better diagnosis. And since we no longer use chemicals to develop X-rays, the harmful effects on the environment are eliminated.

State-of-the-art sterilization centre
Our sterilization follows best practices, with equipment in full view. Our sterilizers are rigorously tested every month by an independent microbiology laboratory, and the certificates of effectiveness are posted to show you that our equipment complies.

3D printer
This technology lets us make many items for our practice, including restoration models, night guards and the surgical guides needed for certain procedures, such as dental implant placement. Our new premises include a complete digital laboratory, designed so you can see this impressive technology at work during your visits.

Soft-tissue laser
The laser improves the quality of our treatments by promoting the healing of soft tissue after surgery. It also greatly reduces the risk of bleeding during and after the procedure, as well as post-operative pain.

Rotary root canal treatment
Part of the cleaning of the tooth is done with motorized instruments, which considerably shortens the treatment and reduces the risk of instrument breakage. Rotary files shorten the canal disinfection phase while improving its quality, and everything is gentler. This limits the risks that come with root canal treatment and takes up less of your time.
