Gentle teeth whitening, in the comfort of your home

Whitening is a simple, safe way to bring new brightness to your smile.

Teeth whitening is done gently, in the comfort of your home. Before starting, a complete cleaning and dental exam must be done to make sure there are no contraindications to the treatment (for example gum disease, untreated cavities, dentin hypersensitivity, etc.).

At your first whitening appointment, we take impressions of your upper and lower teeth and record the colour of your teeth for comparison. We then make trays in our laboratory that will fit your mouth perfectly. At the second appointment, we give you the trays, check that they fit perfectly and explain how to use them with the gel.

Instructions for use at home

  • When you are ready to start whitening, clean your teeth well: brush and floss.
  • Put the gel on the outer part of the inside of the trays.
  • Avoid using too much, or it will overflow and may irritate the gums. The irritation is not dangerous, but it will cause sensitivity.
  • Back teeth don’t need whitening, since they are not visible. Apply the product only to the teeth that show when you smile, so you don’t waste any.
  • Put the trays on your teeth, remove any excess gel, and leave the product on for the time written on the syringe.
  • When the time is up, remove the trays and rinse your mouth and the trays with water. That’s it!

In some cases, tooth whitening can cause dentin hypersensitivity. If sensitivity to hot and cold persists, it is best to pause the treatment until things improve. You can always ask your dentist, who can recommend a suitable toothpaste. Sensitivity caused by whitening is temporary.

Important

  • Do not smoke with the trays and gel in your mouth, as this turns the gel into a carcinogenic product.
  • Do not eat with the trays in.
  • Avoid wine, coffee and tomato juice for 24 hours afterwards, as they could cause stains.
  • You don’t have to do it every day.
  • Never whiten 2 days in a row if you have sensitivity after the previous day’s treatment.
