  • Dental implants

    These small screws placed in the jaw to support a crown, a bridge or a denture are the best tooth replacement option. We support you through every step of the process so you can enjoy the many advantages of dental implants.

  • Implant restorations

    Implants act as the artificial roots of one or more replacement teeth. A crown, a bridge or a denture can be placed on them, replacing a single tooth, a section of the dental arch or all the teeth of one or both jaws.

  • Bone graft

    Without tooth roots to stimulate it, or after severe periodontal disease, the jawbone shrinks. This can get in the way of placing dental implants. A bone graft restores the thickness and depth the bone needs for successful implants!

Implants: a few important steps

Implants are artificial roots designed to support one or more replacement teeth. In practice, they are small titanium screws placed in the jawbone, with which they eventually fuse. They are a versatile replacement option (various restorations can be attached to them), solid, durable and natural-looking. Implants help preserve the structures of the mouth while offering more attractive tooth replacements. To get the full benefit, several steps are needed:

  • When you are considering implants, the dentist does a first assessment, examining the structures of your mouth to determine your needs and discuss the steps involved;
  • If, after the preliminary exam, it is deemed necessary, a bone graft is done. A healing period is then required before moving on to the next step.
  • Your dentist places the implant(s) during a carefully planned surgical procedure;
  • The period after the operation is very important: this is when the implants gradually fuse with the bone. The chosen restoration or denture is designed and made during this time.
  • Finally, the abutment (the piece connecting the implant to the replacement tooth) is placed, and the crown or bridge is attached to it.
